How to alleviate the pain after a breakup? By: Florida Romero

Everybody hates painful experiences, though it depends on every situation. Like loss of loved ones, or separation among couples due to irreconcilable differences. And all these can give us trauma. If your relationship with God is weak, even your mental health is quite affected.

You don't know where to start? Well, when you are problematic, everything seems to be falling apart. But you must understand that a good life should not end in failure. As the saying goes, "as long as there is life there is hope..." Let go of negativity. It will just give you self-torture. Help yourself! Even if you have circles of friends that sympathize with you, think of this..."No one else will help you but yourself!" Be courageous and ask God to strengthen your faith.

I'm not saying this to make you more depressed. I felt that before! You just need to express your feelings.

Here are some tips to make you feel better after a severe blow of fate:

1. Listen to sentimental music. Give yourself a break to cry. You are not numb. So, it's okay if you allow yourself to pour out all the anger, sadness, and resentment. If you mishandled your emotions, you would only get heart disease.  Some end up becoming insane and others commit suicide.

Why do we listen to sad genres? Are you thinking that you will be even sadder? But it's like allowing yourself to feel all the pain so that you will find comfort. That way, you can alleviate the pain and you can recover.

2. Keep yourself busy with something that interests you a lot. For example, Singing with video karaoke, cleaning the house, inventing recipes, writing literary works, and attending Bible studies. YouTube has a lot of motivational channels. You are relieving the pain you are going through! You will discover and know yourself better. Your most hidden talents will come out that you never imagined.

3. Do a movie marathon. Watch all your favorite shows. Entertain yourself. You can even get a great lesson in the story by watching. You will find solutions like the one you are going through.

4. Forget the chapter of your life that gave you so much grief and treasure the important chapters. It's hard to forget, but you need to move on.

5. Pray. God listens because He is everywhere. Let Him take all the weight of your burdens and He will lighten your heart.

I hope this advice helps you to alleviate your burdens. Share this blessing to all!
